The Villa is situated on the exclusive Royal Westmoreland estate. Located on the west coast in the parish of St James our outstanding Caribbean destination offers a uniquely special blend of secluded privacy within your own elegant villa home combined with all the stylish attractions of a 5 star luxury resort. As our guests, membership is included to ensure you enjoy all the benefits expected from an exclusive holiday including the free use of the gym, pools & tennis courts.
Harriette, our Housekeeper, will be with you daily to turn the beds, tidy & do all your laundry including ironing. There is a ‘Welcome Book’ in each room with all relevant information, contact details & advice. Kerry at our management company, ‘Gifted Hands’, will be more than happy to advise & she will ensure that you have courtesy groceries @ the Villa upon your arrival – so you don’t need to rush out as soon as you get there! Harriette will at the Villa to greet you & show you around both the Villa & give you a quick tour of the Estate so that you know the lay of the land. She will take you over to the Clubhouse in our buggy to collect your Guest Cards from the office. The private buggy is for you to use to get to all the fabulous facilities on the estate.
At the heart of the prestigious Royal Westmoreland resort lies a championship golf course of unrivalled beauty. Recently given the accolade of number 31 in the world, recommendations do not come better than this. Designed by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Jr., the Par 72, 7045 yards of this course are sure to test golfers of every ability ensuring use of every club in the bag. Considerable features have been made of the natural environment with the 5th and 6th holes exploiting a disused coral stone quarry and the 12th Par 3 challenging the lowest of handicaps with its tight green bordering a ravine. Bunkers abound throughout the course; each hole offers several tees to accommodate every level of play and crystal blue Caribbean Sea views shimmer from every green.
Completing your round, the elegant and imposing colonial style Clubhouse dominates the course. The Clubhouse restaurant boasts a spectacular setting overlooking the final fairway and features an open sided dining room making the most of the outstanding views across the course to the amazing ocean. Lunch menus serve a combination of quick and simple yet satisfying meals, with friendly and efficient service.
Royal Westmoreland’s least well known attribute, but possibly the most attractive for our discerning guests, is the stringent 24 hour security service operating strict entrance policies. Do keep your Guest Membership cards with you at all times. Mullins beach is our private, waited service beach only 5 minutes drive from the Villa. The Indulgence spa (fabulous & highly recommended!) and Mullins Restaurant are adjacent to the beach. The beach offers full water sports including jet skis, waterskiing, swimming with the turtles & all the ‘big boy’ inflatable toys as well as the floating trampoline & ice cube for the youngsters. St James is on the West Coast and the sea is usually very calm, surfing would generally be on the East Coast.
The supermarket, Chattel Village, shops, banks, restaurants & fabulous night life are 5 minutes away in Holetown. There are some lovely ‘family’ restaurants as well as more ‘grown up’ ones situated on the beach front, a list of our recommendations will be in the Villa ‘Welcome Book’ for you. There is also the new, exclusive Limegrove shopping mall that has just opened, completion will be next year. This mall has all the top designers. Open already are Ralph Lauren, Gucci, L’agent Provocateur, Armani, Cartier, Chloe, Sushi bars…& many more to come!
